Send a broadcast to your TV

Typing a playlist URL with a D-pad is nobody's idea of an evening. Type it here instead.

It has to be an address that serves the media itself — an HLS playlist ending .m3u8, or a direct MP4. News streams, conference feeds and agency channels usually publish one. Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube do not, and there is no way around that: Trace has to fetch the audio to transcribe it.

  1. 1On the TV, open Trace and choose Change broadcast, then Pair a phone.
  2. 2Type the six-character code it shows.
  3. 3Paste the address of the stream you want traced.
